Tuesday's game schedule set; Italy to play the Dominican Republic in afternoon contest; Team USA vs. Puerto Rico in nightcap

MIAMI - With the First Round of the World Baseball Classic now complete, the schedule of games for this Tuesday in Miami has been confirmed.

Second Round games at Marlins Park begin on Tuesday with a split doubleheader. The first game, which features Pool D Runner-Up Italy vs. Pool C Champion the Dominican Republic, is set for 1:08 pm. The evening game, which pits Pool D Champions Team USA against Pool C Runner-Up Puerto Rico, will begin at 8:08 p.m.

There will be 24 Major League All-Stars playing on the four teams that are advancing to Miami. Team USA features former MVPs Ryan Braun, Joe Mauer, and Jimmy Rollins, and adds R.A. Dickey as the reigning Cy Young Award winner.  In addition to those four, other All-Stars include Heath Bell, Gio Gonzalez, Adam  Jones, Craig Kimbrel, Brandon Phillips, Giancarlo Stanton, Shane Victorino, Ryan Vogelsong, David Wright, and Ben Zobrist. 

The Dominican Republic includes former MVP Miguel Tejada. The team has seven All-Stars, including Tejada, Robinson Cano, Nelson Cruz, Hanley Ramirez, Jose Reyes, Fernando Rodney, and Edinson Volquez.

Puerto Rico features three All-Stars in Carlos Beltran, Yadier Molina, and Alex Rios.

Italy is led by Major League players including Chris Denorfia, Jason Grilli, Nick Punto, and Anthony Rizzo. The team also has eight Italian-born players, including the first Italian born-and-raised player in Major League history, Alex Liddi. Liddi is a product of the MLB International European Academy.

Tickets remain for all games of the World Baseball Classic Round 2 in Miami. Box Office hours are 8 am to 8 pm on Monday and 9 am to one hour following the completion of games.  Tickets are also available online at worldbaseballclassic.com.

Fans attending a 2013 Grapefruit League Spring Training game in Florida are able to purchase a Bullpen Reserved or Baseline Reserved ticket to either of the two World Baseball Classic games taking place on Tuesday for $5, while supplies last.  Fans must present their ticket from any Spring Training game at the Marlins Park Ticket Office to take advantage of the $5 ticket offer. This offer is valid for fans who have used the ticket or who possess a ticket for a future 2013 Grapefruit League game.

All games of the World Baseball Classic are scheduled to be televised live on the MLB Network and ESPN Deportes. Radio coverage of the games is provided by ESPN Radio and ESPN Deportes Radio. The ESPN Deportes telecast for the first game from Miami on March 12 will also air on ESPN2 in Spanish.

The World Baseball Classic, which is officially sanctioned by the International Baseball Federation (IBAF), will for the first time in 2013 be recognized as the official national team World Championship, with the winner being crowned the 2013 World Baseball Classic Champion and the IBAF World Champion. The World Baseball Classic is being televised by 39 international broadcasters in 14 languages in more than 200 countries and territories around the world.
