Texas Rangers to host the Mexico City Red Devils on Thursday

Teams to play for second consecutive year at 7:05 p.m. at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington

Arlington, TX-The Texas Rangers will return home to play the Mexico City Red Devils (Diablos Rojos del Mexico) of the Triple-A Mexican League in an exhibition game Thursday, March 28 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

Tickets for the 7:05 p.m. game can be purchased at texasrangers.com, by calling 972.RANGERS and at the Rangers Ballpark First Base Ticket Office. Tickets are priced at $20.00 for Lower Level and All You Can Eat Seats, $15.00 for Club Level Seats, and $10.00 for Upper Level Seats.
 
This is the second consecutive year that the Rangers have played the Red Devils team in Arlington. Texas defeated Mexico City, 13-4 before a crowd of 30,829 on April 2, 2012. It was the first time that the Rangers had played a Mexican League team in Arlington.

Texas is scheduled to start right-hander Yu Darvish in his final spring training outing. Mexico City's probable starter is right-hander David Reyes, the Mexican Winter League's 2012-13 Rookie of the Year. A pair of former Rangers, pitcher Esteban Loaiza and infielder Ben Broussard are on the Red Devils roster.
 
The Red Devils, who are managed by Miguel Ojeda, finished fourth in the league's North Division with a 61-52 record in 2012. Mexico City was defeated by Monterrey in the first round of the playoff in four games. Diablos Rojos del Mexico have won 15 Mexican League championships in their history, the most of any club.

There will be pre-game performances by Ballet Folklórico de Fort Worth and Mariachi Michoacán and Norma Valles will sing both the American and Mexican National Anthems.
