Red Sox Announce Roster Moves

The Red Sox today optioned catcher Ryan Lavarnway to Triple-A Pawtucket and also reassigned right-handed pitchers Anthony Carter and Jose De La Torre to minor league camp.  The announcement was made by Executive Vice President/General Manager Ben Cherington.

With the moves, the Red Sox now have 35 players in major league camp, including 31 players from the 40-man roster, one on the 60-day disabled list, and three non-roster invitees.
