2013 Phillies Season Begins on PHL17

PHILADELPHIA - Wednesday, March 27, 2013 - PHL17, the home of the Philadelphia Phillies, is proud to welcome the boys of summer back to its airwaves for the 2013 Season Opener Monday April 1st at 7:05pm.

The Phillies head to Atlanta to take on the Braves Monday night in an Opening Night matchup that will air exclusively on PHL17. Prior to the game, PHL17 will air The Phillies Pre Game Show beginning at 6:30pm with 6abc sports anchor Ducis Rodgers reporting live from Atlanta. After the game Mike Missanelli and Marty Bystrom will host The Phillies Post Game Show, live from SugarHouse Casino.

Returning for its fifth season is The Charlie Manuel Show, which features the Skipper, along with Phillies broadcaster Tom McCarthy, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at Phillies Baseball and answers viewer submitted questions. Joining the show is Krystle Howard, wife of Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard, who will highlight the charitable endeavors of the Phillies players and their families in the community. The Charlie Manuel Show premieres Saturday, April 5th at 10:30pm following Action News at 10 on PHL17, and will air each Saturday night at 10:30pm, as well as Sunday one hour prior to each Phillies game telecast on PHL17.

Scott Palmer, Phillies Director of Public Affairs and former sportscaster and news anchor, will again host W.B. Mason Behind the Pinstripes. The weekly 30 minute show will debut on Sunday, April 7th at 1pm and air one half hour prior to each Sunday Phillies game telecast on PHL17.

The Phillies Post Game Show live from SugarHouse Casino returns for a fifth season and airs immediately following every Phillies game on PHL17. Returning to host chairs this year are Mike Missanelli, John Clark, and Marty Bystrom who will have all the highlights and insights of Phillies Baseball.

Returning for a 3rd season is "Phillies Friday," a weekly feature in PHL17's morning news show Eye Opener and continues throughout the regular season.
