Blue Jays place Johnson on disabled list

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have placed RHP JOSH JOHNSON on the disabled list with right triceps inflammation, retroactive to April 29.  RHP BRAD LINCOLN has been recalled from Buffalo of the International League (AAA). In Johnson's absence, LHP RICKY ROMERO is scheduled to make the start on Friday, May 3 vs. the Seattle Mariners.

JOHNSON, 29, has made four starts in 2013 posting a 0-1 record with a 6.86 ERA. The 6-7, 250 pound right-hander owns a 56-38 career record with a 3.23 ERA in 158 games, including 148 starts in nine seasons with Miami and Toronto.

LINCOLN, 27, returns to the club for a second time this season. The 6-0, 225 pound reliever has made two appearances for the Blue Jays this season, allowing two earned runs in two innings. Lincoln has spent the majority of 2013 with the Buffalo Bisons (AAA), recording a 1-0 mark with a 3.72 ERA in six appearances.
