Children's Hospital Los Angeles ribbon cutting ceremony at Dodger Stadium to open new kids Play Zone

Children's Hospital is the presenting sponsor of the Dodgers Youth Baseball Camps this summer

LOS ANGELES - Children's Hospital Los Angeles, in partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers, will have a ribbon cutting ceremony at Dodger Stadium on Monday, May 6 at 5:30 p.m. on the third base side Reserve Level to mark the opening of the new Play Zone presented by Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

The play zone is one of the many new enhancements made to Dodger Stadium during the offseason and offers fans an in-stadium area in which their children can play during games. The Play Zone features life size bobbleheads and a scoreboard.

"The Dodgers are thrilled to have Children's Hospital Los Angeles as a partner for the 3rd Base Play Zone," said Michael Young, Dodgers Senior VP, Corporate Partnerships. "The Play Zone is one of the cornerstone elements of our stadium renovations to further enhance the family friendly atmosphere at Dodger Stadium."

In expanding their partnership with the Dodgers, Children's Hospital Los Angeles will also be the presenting sponsor of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Youth Camp. At the camp kids ages seven through 12 receive baseball instruction from Dodger coaches and former players at Dodger Stadium. Children's Hospital Los Angeles will also provide 20 scholarships for underprivileged children so they can attend the camp.

We are delighted to partner with a family-friendly organization like the Los Angeles Dodgers," said DeAnn Marshall, Senior Vice President and Chief Development and Marketing Officer at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. "The new 3rd Base Play Zone is great fun for the littlest Dodger fans and their families. We are honored to be part of the Dodger experience and look forward to future collaborations."

Session one of the Dodgers Youth Baseball Camp presented by Children's Hospital will be from June 25-28. Session two will be from August 12-14. Parents interested in signing their kids up for camp can visit www.dodgers.com/camp.
