Tuesday's Athletics-Rangers game highest-rated telecast of season on Fox Sports Southwest

6.9 Household Rating No. 3 Primetime Program of Night in DFW

Tuesday's (May 21) Texas Rangers game vs. the Oakland Athletics produced the team's highest television rating of the season on FOX Sports Southwest, according to Nielsen Media Research.

The game started by Yu Darvish averaged a 6.9 household rating and was the No. 3 primetime program of the night in Dallas-Fort Worth behind ABC's Dancing with the Stars (9.7) and NBC's The Voice (8.6).

It topped the previous season best rating for a Rangers game on FOX Sports Southwest of 6.6 recorded on Saturday (May 18) vs. Detroit. 

An average of 178,800 households in Dallas-Fort Worth tuned in to watch Tuesday's game. The telecast received its largest audience from 9:30-9:45 p.m. when it averaged an 8.4 rating and 216,300 households. 

For the season, Rangers games on FOX Sports Southwest are averaging a 5.0 rating and 130,177 households. Games started by Darvish on FOX Sports Southwest are averaging a 5.8 rating and 150,100 households.
