White Sox option Donnie Veal to Class AAA Charlotte

CHICAGO -- Following tonight's game vs. Boston, the Chicago White Sox optioned left-handed pitcher Donnie Veal to Class AAA Charlotte. 

Veal, 28, is 1-0 with an 8.59 ERA (7 ER/7.1 IP) in 14 relief appearances over two stints with the White Sox in 2013. He also has gone 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA (8.0 IP) and 10 strikeouts in four relief appearances with Charlotte.

The Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to Friday's game vs. the Miami Marlins.
