Swing into Summer Safety with the Toronto Blue Jays
Once again this summer, the Toronto Blue Jays are proud to partner on the 3rd annual "Swing into Summer Safety" day, organized by the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office and Fire Safety Council to bring awareness to fire safety. Presented by Allstate Insurance, this campaign aims to educate children and their families with safety tips through the distribution of baseball cards featuring the 2013 Blue Jays players and coaches. The first 25,000 fans to enter Rogers Centre on Tuesday, May 28th to watch the Toronto Blue Jays host the Atlanta Braves at 12:37 pm will receive a free set of Toronto Blue Jays fire safety cards.
Camp Bucko (Burn Camp for Kids in Ontario) will be guests of the Club and Jays Care Foundation in the Jays Care Community Clubhouse.

"Working in the insurance business, we see first-hand what can happen when someone doesn't think safety first. It's our job to help pick up the pieces when an accident causes damage. We want to help keep summer fun and safe this year."
The educational campaign will continue throughout the summer as catcher J.P. Arencibia will visit a local Fire Hall to assist in distributing sets of baseball cards to children along with Toronto Firefighters. An additional 100,000 sets of cards will be available at nearly 200 participating Fire Halls across the province. PSA messages will play featuring J.P. Arencibia, to assist with educational efforts. In addition J.P. Arencibia is scheduled to visit burn victims at the Hospital for Sick Children later in the summer.
