Stars Look Ahead To All-Star Game In New Campaign

For one day each summer, the biggest stars in baseball put aside their usual Club allegiances and share a common goal - to win the All-Star Game and earn home-field advantage in the World Series for their League. With the 84th MLB All-Star Game less than seven weeks away, more than a dozen MLB stars are featured in a new campaign highlighting their motivations to both play in and win the All-Star Game. The 2013 MLB All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, July 16th at Citi Field in New York, live on FOX.

The new spot -- which features 13 recent All-Stars, including Jose Bautista, Robinson Cano, Prince Fielder, Carlos Gonzalez, Bryce Harper, Adam Jones, Matt Kemp, Andrew McCutchen, Buster Posey, David Price, Mike Trout, Justin Verlander and David Wright -- follows the theme of the #IPlay campaign launched earlier this year.

The spot will debut this weekend on FOX, ESPN, TBS, MLB Network and MLB.com. Online, fans will be able to pledge their allegiance for the AL or NL on MLBFanCave.com, with the results tallied in real time. Fans will also be encouraged to upload photos to Instagram showcasing their AL or NL pride using #IPledge, with the most compelling user Instagrams curated in a tab on MLBFanCave.com.

Major League Baseball and Hill Holliday worked with award-winning production company Greenpoint Pictures and the directing duo Niles Roth and Michael Kuhn of The Hudson Dusters to produce the spots.
