Dodgers reinstate Hanley Ramirez from the disabled list; place Chris Capuano on the DL

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today reinstated infielder Hanley Ramirez from the 15-day disabled list and placed left-handed pitcher Chris Capuano on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to May 30) with a left shoulder latissimus strain.

Ramirez made three rehab starts (two at shortstop, one as DH) for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and went 2-for-9 with a double and three RBI, including going 1-for-3 with a double and playing six innings at shortstop last night. He has been on the DL since May 4 with a left hamstring strain and has appeared in just four games with the Dodgers this season, going 5-for-11 (.455) with two doubles, a homer and one RBI. Ramirez also missed the first 25 games of the season while recovering from right thumb surgery after suffering the injury playing for Team Dominican Republic in the championship game of the World Baseball Classic.

Capuano is 1-4 with a 5.45 ERA (20 ER/33.0 IP) in eight games (six starts) for the Dodgers this season.
