St. Louis Cardinals sign six more draftees bringing total to 13
Three players drafted in top 10 rounds include McKinney, Reed & Rivera
ST. LOUIS, Mo., June 12, 2013 - The St. Louis Cardinals signed six more players today from the 2013 June First-Year player draft bringing their total signed to 13, announced Scouting Director Dan Kantrovitz.
Three draft picks in the first 10 rounds signed with the Cardinals as well as a local product from O'Fallon, Mo. The Cardinals signed seven players yesterday.
Today's list includes pitcher Ian McKinney (5th round, Boone HS), pitcher Jimmy Reed (6th round, Maryland), shortstop Chris Rivera (7th round, El Dorado HS), outfielder Devante Lacy (24th round, Cedar Valley College), pitcher Blake McKnight (38th round, Evangel University) and pitcher Kevin Herget (39th round, Kean University).
