D-backs recall Randall Delgado, option Charles Brewer

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) recalled right-handed pitcher Randall Delgado (@RandallDelgado) from Triple-A Reno and optioned right-handed pitcher Charles Brewer (@CharlesBrewerAZ) to Reno, according to D-backs' Executive Vice President & General Manager Kevin Towers.

Delgado, 23, made his D-backs debut on June 3 at Cardinals, allowing 2 runs in 2.0 innings, becoming the first Panamanian-born player in club history to appear with Arizona. He will start tonight's game vs. Miami.

Delgado has gone 2-5 with a 5.91 ERA (42 ER in 64.0 IP) in 13 starts with the Aces this season, including a 2-2 mark with a 2.15 ERA (7 ER in 29.1 IP) in his last 5. In 2011-12 with the Braves, he appeared in 25 games (24 starts) and went 5-10 with a 3.95 ERA (56 ER in 127.2 IP).

Brewer, 25, made 2 relief appearances with the D-backs and did not allow a run in 3.2 innings. He became the first Arizona native to be drafted, developed and make his Major League debut with the D-backs on June 10 @ Dodgers.
