Legends return for the fourth annual Atlanta Braves Alumni Weekend

Fun-filled weekend includes Chipper Jones Hall of Fame Luncheon and number retirement, Legends softball game and alumni autograph and photo sessions in fan plaza

ATLANTA - The legends of the game will return to Turner Field for the Atlanta Braves fourth annual Alumni Weekend June 28-30, when the Braves take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. More than 50 former Braves players are scheduled to return to relive the memories and meet the fans that have cheered them on throughout the years.

On Friday, June 28, former third baseman Chipper Jones will be inducted into the Braves Hall of Fame at a sold out luncheon held at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. That night, the hallowed No. 10 will be the 11th number retired by the Braves during a special on-field ceremony beginning at 7:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:55 p.m. in order not to miss a minute of the action.

"The Braves Alumni Weekend is a unique opportunity for fans to see the stars they grew up cheering for," said Atlanta Braves President John Schuerholz. "We cherish the legacies of our former players and are excited to welcome them back each season, especially this year as we honor one of our greats, Chipper Jones."

Prior to Friday night's game, Braves alumni will meet and greet with fans for an autograph session from 5:30-6:30 p.m. throughout the ball park. Attendees scheduled to appear:

On Saturday, fans will have the opportunity to watch a matchup of legendary proportions as alumni faceoff for the Legends Softball Game at 2:10 p.m. Gates will open at 1:00 p.m. and fans are invited to watch alumni batting practice and team introductions prior to the softball game.
