J.R. Richard, Art Howe, Bob Aspromonte Among Returning Astros Alumni

HOUSTON, TX - Astros legends will return to Minute Maid Park for a special signing of the Astros pictorial history book, Deep in the Heart, on Saturday, June 29 at 2:00pm. Fans with tickets to the 3:10pm game vs. the LA Angels of Anaheim can get their copies of Deep in the Heart signed by players featured in the book itself, including J.R. Richard, Art Howe, Bob Aspromonte, Enos Cabell and our own TV broadcasters Alan Ashby and author Bill Brown.

Additionally, any fan that purchases a copy of Deep in the Heart on the day of the book signing will receive two free tickets to the 7:10pm game on Thursday, August 29 as the Astros take on the AL West Division rival Seattle Mariners.

Deep in the Heart, co-authored by Texas Sports Hall of Fame broadcaster Bill Brown and Astros Authentication Manager Mike Acosta, details the history of the Astros organization from its beginnings as the Colt .45s, through the decades in the Astrodome and concluding with the 50th anniversary season celebrated last year in Minute Maid Park. With never-before-seen photographs and in-depth looks into the plays and players that have become integral parts of Astros history and lore, Deep in the Heart gives Astros fans everything they need to know about the determined Houston team that continues to swing for the fences in the face of challenges.

Autographs will only be available to fans with copies of Deep in the Heart. The book signing will take place on the main concourse behind the Insperity Club starting at 2:00pm until game time at 3:10pm.

Deep in the Heart is available in any of the team stores at Minute Maid Park, as well as online at http://mlb.mlb.com/hou/fan_forum/deep_heart_book.jsp.
