A's agree to terms with second-round pick Dillon Overton

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's agreed to terms with their second round pick from the First-Year Player Draft, left-handed pitcher Dillon Overton from the University of Oklahoma.

Overton was 9-3 with a 3.02 ERA in 16 games, including 14 starts, with Oklahoma. He struck out 79 and walked 23 in 92.1 innings. The 63rd overall selection, Dillon was 23-10 with a 2.89 ERA in 61 career appearances in three seasons with the Sooners. He had 264 strikeouts and 80 walks in 289.1 innings.

The A's have now signed or agreed to terms with 32 of their 42 picks from the draft, including each of the first 15 and 19 of the first 20.
