Giants and Tigers form alliance in MLB's Final Vote

2012 World Series opponents have teamed up to elect Hunter Pence and Joaquin Benoit to the All Star Game

The defending National League Champion San Francisco Giants and American League Champion Detroit Tigers have joined forces to send Hunter Pence and Joaquin Benoit to the 2013 All Star Game through Major League Baseball's Final Vote sponsored by freecreditscore.com. Both the Giants and Tigers are asking their fan bases to select both Pence and Benoit as the final player for each League's 34-man roster.

Hunter Pence is the only Giant to start all 87 games this season and has played all but 4.0 defensive innings. His 37 extra base hits are tied for the eighth-most in the NL and his 22 doubles are tied for the 10th-most in the league.

Joaquin Benoit has posted a 2-0 record with six saves and 44 strikeouts this season. His 1.78 ERA (7er, 35.1ip) ranks seventh among AL relievers.
