D-backs Reinstate Eaton From 15-Day Disabled List; Option Brewer to Reno

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) have reinstated outfielder Adam Eaton (@AdamSpankyEaton) from the 15-day disabled list and optioned RHP Charles Brewer (@CharlesBrewerAZ) to Triple-A Reno, according to D-backs' Executive Vice President & General Manager Kevin Towers.

Eaton, 24, hit .256 (23-for-90) with 5 doubles, 2 home runs, 13 RBI and 8 stolen bases in 26 rehab games with Reno, Single-A Visalia and Rookie AZL D-backs. He was placed on the disabled list on March 30 (retro to March 22) with a strained left elbow.

Eaton, who entered the season ranked by Baseball America as the D-backs' No. 3 Prospect, batted .259 (22-for-85) in 22 games with Arizona last season. He also hit .375 (198-for-528) with 47 doubles, 7 home runs, 48 RBI and 44 stolen bases in 130 games with Reno and Double-A Mobile, leading all of the Minor Leagues in average, hits, doubles and runs scored (130).

Brewer, 25, appeared in 4 games with the D-backs in 2013, posting a 3.00 ERA (2 ER in 6.0 IP).
