Atlanta Braves Bring "Christmas in July" to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta this Friday, July 12

ATLANTA - The temperatures may be hot outside, but it will feel like winter holidays as the Atlanta Braves will be spreading cheer during "Christmas in July" at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston this Friday, July 12. The extraordinary children and their families will meet and mingle with several of their favorite big leaguers including: Tim Hudson, Chris Johnson, Jordan Walden and hitting coach Greg Walker.

Braves players and coaches will spread joy by visiting patients and distributing toys collected during the annual Braves Wives Toy Drive held earlier this season on June 29-30 at Turner Field. Additionally, Braves Manager Fredi Gonzalez, will have a private visit to the Shepherd Center. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston is an Atlanta Braves partner whose mission is to enhance the lives of children through excellence in patient care, research and education. The Shepard Center specializes in the medical treatment, research and rehabilitation of people with spinal cord and brain injuries.
