Twins option Arcia, Escobar and Parmelee to Triple-A Rochester

Will Recall Herrmann and Select Contract of Bernier

 Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced after today's game that they have optioned outfielders Oswaldo Arcia and Chris Parmelee, along with infielder Eduardo Escobar, to Triple-A Rochester. All three players will report to Rochester following the Triple-A All-Star break.

The Twins will recall outfielder/catcher Chris Herrmann from Triple-A Rochester and select the contract of infielder Doug Bernier. This will be Herrmann's second stint with the Twins this season, having appeared in seven games hitting .462 (6-for-13) from May 28-June 13. Bernier will be making his Twins debut, after hitting .295 (89-for-302) in 92 games with the Red Wings. He will wear uniform number 17.

The Twins plan to make an additional roster move prior to their game on Friday vs. the Cleveland Indians at Target Field.
