Cleveland Indians to hold special luncheon featuring Indians Hall of Famer Rocky Colavito, other alumni

Colavito will be at Progressive Field Aug. 10 to celebrate 80th birthday; replica Indians HOF plaque will be given away later that evening to first 10,000 fans at game vs. Angels

Cleveland, OH - Indians Hall of Famer Rocky Colavito will be the guest of honor at a special luncheon on Aug. 10.

The luncheon, which begins at 11AM and will be held in the Terrace Club at Progressive Field, will include a roundtable discussion led by Indians Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Bob DiBiasio, in which Indians alumni Max Alvis and Gary Bell also will appear.

The luncheon also will feature a silent auction, autograph session, and ballpark fare buffet.

"Rocky is one of the all-time great Indians players and we know fans of many generations cherish memories of him in a Tribe uniform," DiBiasio said. "We're honored to have him back in Cleveland."

In eight seasons with the Indians in the 1950s and 1960s, Colavito hit 190 homers and drove in 574 runs, good enough for 10th and 17th, respectively, on the franchise's all-time lists.

Tickets to the luncheon are $75 and can be purchased at Indians.com/Catch25.

In addition to the luncheon, Colavito will be honored with a Replica Hall of Fame Plaque giveaway at that evening's game against the Los Angeles Angels. The first 10,000 fans at the game will receive a plaque; Gate C opens at 4:30PM that evening.

The game also will feature the second part of the Indians Rock N' Blast two-night fireworks spectacular. Tickets are going fast; fans can purchase theirs at Indians.com/Tickets.
