Tonight's Red Sox game vs. Tampa Bay postponed due to rain; rescheduled for this Monday, July 29, at 6:10 p.m. at Fenway Park

BOSTON, MA - Tonight's Red Sox game versus the Tampa Bay Rays was postponed by the umpires due to a forecast of continued rain throughout the night. The game will be made up this Monday, July 29, at 6:10 p.m. at Fenway Park. Tickets for tonight's game are good for admission.

Because tonight's game was the last one scheduled between the two teams at Fenway Park this year, the decision to postpone the game was in the hands of the umpires, rather than the home team.

Monday was an open date for both clubs. The Red Sox are expected to return from a weekend in Baltimore Sunday evening, and the Rays are now scheduled to return from a weekend in New York against the Yankees.

The Red Sox will remain at home to play the Seattle Mariners (July 30-August 1) and the Arizona Diamondbacks (August 2-4). The Rays will fly home to Tampa Bay after Monday's game to open a homestand against the Diamondbacks (July 30-31) and San Francisco Giants (August 2-4).
