Join us tomorrow for a Holly Jolly Good Time as the Tigers host Christmas in July

Join Santa Claus and Santa PAWS as we celebrate the season with live music, floats and Christmas decorations throughout the park

DETROIT - Why wait until December to celebrate the holiday season? Christmas in July, sponsored by the Parade Company returns to Comerica Park on Wednesday, July 31 when the Tigers host the Washington Nationals at 1:08 p.m. (Gates open at 11:30 a.m.) It's sure to be a holly jolly time!

Santa Claus will take a break from the North Pole to stop by Comerica Park to pose for pictures at Gate A with the FOX Sports Detroit Girls, and participate in the "Prance Around the Park" pre-game on-field parade featuring 400 Salvation Army Day Campers, the Detroit Tigers Kids Club Grand Marshall and a dance performance by the elves from Tina Marie Studio of Dance, before he takes to the mound to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Musical entertainment for the special occasion includes Christmas music throughout the ballpark featuring, the St. Paul's Handbell Choir from Rochester, MI, the Salvation Army Brass Bands, The Vision Boys Choir from the Detroit School of Arts and the Simply Dickens Carolers-plus a Christmas-themed sing-a-long following the seventh inning stretch! Live music will accompany a wide variety of Christmas décor including oversized stockings, Christmas trees, snowflakes, parade floats and a half-pipe featuring Christmas-clad stunt performers outside of Gate A.

Salvation Army Red Kettles will be located at all entrances to the ballpark so fans can help celebrate the season of giving! Ticket packages for Christmas in July were sold online at tigers.com and included a $5 donation to the Salvation Army. Christmas in July, presented by the Parade Company, celebrating 87 years of Parade tradition in Detroit.
