White Sox recall Jordan Danks from Class AAA Charlotte

Prior to tonight's game at Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox recalled outfielder Jordan Danks from Class AAA Charlotte. Danks takes the roster spot of right-handed pitcher Jake Peavy, who was sent to the Boston Red Sox last night as part of a three-team trade including the Detroit Tigers.

This will be Danks' third stint with the White Sox this season. He also was with the club from April 17-May 9 and June 2-July 4.

Danks, 26, has appeared in 32 games (nine starts) with the White Sox this season, hitting .135 (5-37) with one home run and two RBI.

Danks is batting .279 (58-208) with nine doubles, two triples, six home runs and 28 RBI in 54 games with Charlotte this season. He has gone 10-25 (.400) with one home run, five RBI and six runs scored over his last seven games with the Knights.
