Fans are invited to watch live on phillies.com as Brad Lidge, former Phillies closer and 2008 World Series Champion, signs a ceremonious contract before he retires as a Philadelphia Phillie. Ruben Amaro Jr., Phillies Senior Vice President and General Manager, will oversee the proceedings which will take place beginning at 3:15 p.m.

Followers of @Phillies, the Phillies' official Twitter account, will be able to ask Lidge questions as he takes over the account at 4:00 p.m. Fans should use #BradChat when sending questions and searching for responses.
 
Lidge Ceremoniously Retires as a Phillie, 6:45 p.m.
 
Lidge will be honored on-field as he ceremoniously retires in front of fans prior to the Phillies 7:05 p.m. game against San Francisco. Lidge will throw out the first pitch with catcher Carlos Ruiz catching, recreating the memorable strikeout of Tampa Bay's Eric Hinske in Game 5 of the 2008 World Series and clinching the championship.
 
In honor of the evening, all fans will receive a commemorative print of Lidge, courtesy of Toyota.
