One Month From Today: D-backs Post-Game Concert

Featuring Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers

The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) will host a post-game concert featuring Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers, presented by Miller Lite, one month from today. The Sept. 1 concert is free to all fans in attendance at the 1:10 p.m. game against the San Francisco Giants.

Clyne has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the D-backs since his band has played numerous post-game concerts at Chase Field and has written "D-backs Swing," a song the club has played following every home win since 2007. Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers continued their baseball tradition by playing the inaugural concert at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick on April 16, 2011 to celebrate the release of the band's sixth studio album, Unida Cantina. Last season, the band held a post-game concert at a D-backs game in August and in 2011, Clyne sang the national anthem on Opening Night at Chase Field.

The D-backs' current comprehensive marketing campaign focuses on the lyrics of "D-backs Swing," highlighted by the chorus: "I Back, You Back, We Back the D-backs." The campaign includes print advertisements, television spots, radio drop-ins, social media integration, e-mail, direct mail and outdoor signage on billboards, light pole banners, bus shelters and light rail kiosks throughout the Valley, including LED signage in the Legends Entertainment District.

For more than a decade, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers have been serving up nothing but uncompromised, unadulterated, pure rock 'n' roll. The band has released six consecutive albums that have debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard's Internet Sales Chart, the first independent band to ever accomplish that feat. Two of those albums, 1999's Honky Tonk Union and 2004's ¡Americano!, debuted at No. 1.

Unida Cantina is Clyne's most infectious record since he and drummer P.H. Naffah released their 1996 cult-classic, Fizzy, Fuzzy, Big and Buzzy with their previous band, The Refreshments, on Mercury Records. Fizzy, Fuzzy, Big and Buzzy was Radio & Record's ninth Best-Selling Debut Album of the Year, went to No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseeker Chart and spawned two popular radio hits, "Banditos" and "Down Together". The Refreshments performed on national late-night shows and Clyne wrote and performed the theme song for Fox's animated series "King of the Hill" with the band.

Tickets to the Sept. 1 game and concert details are available online www.dbacks.com/concert, losdbacks.com, at the Chase Field ticket windows or by calling 602.514.8400.
