White Sox offer Mobile Entry at U.S. Cellular Field

Ticketmaster service allows mobile ticket purchase & entry at all games

CHICAGO - The Chicago White Sox now will offer Mobile Entry at U.S. Cellular Field, starting this evening Monday, August 5. The service, offered by Ticketmaster, allows fans to purchase White Sox tickets and enter the ballpark via their smartphone.

To use Mobile Entry, fans must purchase tickets on whitesox.com, through the Ticketmaster app on their smartphone or the Ticketmaster mobile site.

Prior to purchasing tickets, fans must select the "eTickets" delivery option. Fans then have three options to enter the game, including: mobile, which allows for the tickets to be delivered directly to the mobile device; credit card entry, linking the tickets to the credit card used for the purchase; or simply the Print-at-Home option.

With the mobile option, fans have the ability to view/bookmark their ticket prior to the game and save the ticket on their phone to make it available at any time. Fans have the option to view their ticket upon arriving at the gate. Once at the gate, fans will simply display the ticket barcode on their smartphone and have it scanned for entry.

"Mobile entry is a service we are excited to provide our fans," said White Sox senior vice president of sales and marketing Brooks Boyer. "It is a technology more and more people are opting for in different aspects of their lives - whether it is boarding a flight or purchasing coffee. Now, we are happy to offer White Sox fans that same level of ease and efficiency when coming to the ballpark."

The new method allows for a completely mobile purchase and entry experience for all White Sox games at U.S. Cellular Field, providing fans the opportunity to enter the ballpark at any gate, including Fast Pass entrances.
