Oakland A's claim INF Adam Rosales from Rangers

Arlington, Texas — The Oakland Athletics have received infielder Adam Rosales on a waiver claim from the Texas Rangers, the clubs announced today.  Rosales had been designated for assignment among several Texas roster moves on Monday.

Rosales spent a total of three days in the Rangers organization from Friday through Sunday, and was on the active 25-man roster for those three dates, but did not appear in a game with Texas.  He had been received on a waiver claim from the Athletics on Friday.  He has batted .193 (26-135) with 5 doubles, 4 homers and 8 RBI in 50 games/34 starts with Oakland in 2013.

The Rangers have 39 players on the club’s 40-man roster.
