Baseball Tomorrow Fund Equipment Drive - Sunday, August 11

Donate baseball/softball equipment to get two free Reds tickets

CINCINNATI — In support of the ongoing commitment from Major League Baseball, its Clubs and the players to increase opportunities for youth participation in baseball and softball, the Reds are teaming up with the Baseball Tomorrow Fund (BTF) to host an equipment collection drive on Sunday, Aug. 11 at Great American Ball Park when the Reds take on the Padres at 1:10 p.m.

New or gently-used baseball or softball equipment will be collected on Crosley Terrace beginning when gates open at 11:40 a.m. through the fourth inning. Cash donations are also accepted. All equipment and monetary donations will benefit the Joe Nuxhall Character Education Fund.

Fans who donate equipment will receive two free tickets to the Tuesday, Aug. 20 Reds vs. Arizona Diamondbacks game.

In conjunction with the equipment drive, the Baseball Tomorrow Fund will award a grant of $5,000 to the Joe Nuxhall Character Education Fund through the Fairfield Community Foundation to be used for the purchase of new equipment.

In recognition of the grant, the Reds Community Fund will present a ceremonial check for $5,000 to the Fairfield Community Foundation during an onfield ceremony prior to Sunday’s game.
