Twins place Mauer on 7-day disabled list

Plan to recall Chris Colabello from Triple-A Rochester

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced tonight that they have placed Joe Mauer on the 7-day disabled list with concussion-like symptoms. He was pulled from tonight's lineup after experiencing dizziness during batting practice.

To replace Mauer on the 25-man roster, the Twins have recalled first baseman/outfielder Chris Colabello from Triple-A Rochester. In 29 games for the Twins, Colabello hit .221 (19-for-86) with one double, four home runs, eight RBI, nine runs scored and nine walks. In 89 games for the Red Wings, he hit .352 (119-for-338) with 25 doubles, 24 home runs and 76 RBI. He will be in uniform for tomorrow night's game in Detroit.
