D-backs acquire player to be named or cash considerations for Jason Kubel

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) announced they acquired a player to be named later or cash considerations from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for outfielder Jason Kubel and cash considerations, according to D-backs' Executive Vice President & General Manager Kevin Towers

Kubel, 31, hit .220 (53-for-241) with 5 home runs and 32 RBI in 89 games with the D-backs this season. In 230 games with Arizona, Kubel hit .242 (181-for-747) with 35 home runs and 122 RBI.

Kubel was designated for assignment on Aug. 27.
