"We are very proud and thankful of the players, families and coaches who have helped make this program as successful as it has become," said Rockies Senior Director of Scouting Operations Marc Gustafson. "These young men have developed their talents on the field and we are confident they will make a difference in their future endeavors."

The Rockies Scout Team, which is sponsored by Comfort Dental, trains at Diamond Club Training Facility in Wheat Ridge, CO. The Scout Team is managed by members of the Rockies scouting staff and Diamond Club Baseball. The team is comprised of the very best talent in the state of Colorado and surrounding areas as selected by the Rockies scouting department. The team values players who have character, ability, strong work ethic and are serious about their development and aspire to the game at higher levels.

Since the Scout Team's inception in the spring of 2011, over 30 players have gained college scholarships thanks to playing in showcase tournaments in front of scouts and college coaches. The team plays in showcase tournaments in Denver, Scottsdale and Peoria, AZ and Salt Lake City. The team also competes in the Arizona Fall Classic attended by over 250 colleges and scouts from every Major League organization.

The Rockies and Comfort Dental also make available scholarship awards to team members. The scholarships will be awarded to individual players based on character, academic achievement, leadership and community service. These qualities not only serve players will on the field, but they are attributes that will enable players to have success in other present and future endeavors.
