White Sox announce 2014 Spring Training schedule
The Chicago White Sox begin the 2014 spring training season on Friday, February 28 as the "visiting" team against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Camelback Ranch - Glendale (CR-G), the teams' shared ballpark in Glendale, Ariz.
Chicago will play their first official home game the next day with a contest against the Cleveland Indians on March 1.
The White Sox will play 14 home games at CR-G, including a game against the crosstown-rival Cubs (March 21). The Sox also play the Cubs in Mesa on March 27.
All Sox home games are scheduled to begin at 3:05 p.m CT, except for 9:05 p.m. CT starts on March 15 vs. the Dodgers and March 22 vs. San Francisco.
The White Sox exhibition schedule closes with a contest at Regions Field vs. Class AA Birmingham on Friday, March 28. The Sox open the 2013 regular season at U.S. Cellular Field on Monday, March 31 vs. the Minnesota Twins.
Season-ticket plans for games at CR-G are on sale beginning today at whitesox.com/spring and include the following options:
- 25 games - All White Sox and Dodgers games;
- 14 games - All White Sox home games;
- Mini-plan - Any three or more games of choice; fans who purchase $100 or more in mini-plan tickets will receive four complimentary tickets to a White Sox home game vs. the Twins on either April 2 or April 3.
