Texas Rangers announce details for game with Quintana Roo Tigers on March 27

Rangers host a Mexican League team for third straight year in Arlington exhibition

The Texas Rangers will host the Quintana Roo Tigers (Tigres de Quintana Roo) of the Triple-A Mexican League in an exhibition game on Thursday, March 27 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

A photo opportunity took place at the Baseball Winter Meetings today with officials from the Tigers and Rangers. Participating for Quintana Roo were President Chito Rodriguez, Vice President Amador Gutierrez and General Manager Francisco Minjares. Rangers Manager Ron Washington and Senior Executive Vice President Jim Sundberg also took part.

It will mark the third consecutive year that the Rangers have played a Mexican League team in Arlington as Texas defeated the Mexico City Red Devils in 2012 and 2013.

The Tigers, who are from Cancun, captured their second Mexican League championship in the last three seasons in 2013, defeating Monterrey, four games to one, in the final series.

Ticket prices for the exhibition game are $20.00 for lower level and all-you-can-eat seats, $15.00 for club level, and $10.00 for upper level. The tickets will go on sale on Saturday, March 1.
