Texas Rangers to host 2013 Cowboy Santas Toy Drive Finale at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington on Tuesday night

Current and former Rangers will participate in autograph sessions from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Fans encouraged to donate unwrapped toys and books

The Texas Rangers will host the 2013 Cowboy Santas Toy Drive Finale, TOMORROW, Tuesday, December 17 from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

The Cowboy Santas Toy Drive Finale will be held in the center field Vandergriff Plaza area. Current and former Rangers players will be on hand to sign autographs in one-hour intervals between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. in the Batters Eye Club. The current schedule of individuals set to sign (NOTE: Times and participants are subject to change):

4:30-5:30 p.m.: Ron Washington, Bobby Jones, Benji Gil, Jose Guzman, Jim Sundberg, Todd Van Poppel, Emily Jones
5:30-6:30 p.m.: Matt Harrison, Derek Holland, Steve Buechele, Rusty Greer, Tom Grieve, Dave Hostetler, Kevin Mench, Matt Hicks
6:30-7:30 p.m.: Tanner Scheppers, Shawn Tolleson, Tim Crabtree, Larry Hardy, Mark McLemore, Pete O'Brien, Steve Busby
 
Holiday movies will be shown on the video screen, the Rangers KidsZone will be open, and drink and food specials will be provided by Sportservice. Other activities will include face painting, balloon artists, and a photo booth with a special appearance by Santa Claus. Donations of new unwrapped toys and books for boys and girls, newborn to age 12, will be greatly encouraged.

Fans attending Tuesday's Toy Drive Finale may Park in Lot B and enter Rangers Ballpark in Arlington through the Majestic Grand Slam Gift Shop.

This is the third consecutive year in which the organization has been involved in the holiday initiative, which provides toys to children from low-income Tarrant County families during the holiday season. The Cowboy Santas Toy Drive results in the collection of thousands of new, unwrapped toys that are distributed to needy children in Tarrant County. Individuals can also drop off new unwrapped toys or books through December 17 at either the Texas Rangers Grand Slam Gift Shop at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Rangers Fort Worth Team Shop at 316 Main St., or the Rangers Dallas Team Shop at 2222 McKinney Ave., Suite 140 during regular store hours. Items may also be dropped off at all Fort Worth Police and Fire Departments and at the Como Community Center Warehouse, 541 North Main St. in Fort Worth.

More About Cowboy Santas:
The Cowboy Santas Program Inc. is a non-profit program that provides toys to children from low-income Tarrant County families, during the holiday season. The program began in 1981 at several Fort Worth Community Centers, and over the last two decades, the program has grown to cover all of Tarrant County. Cowboy Santas Program is recognized by the Internal Revenue Services as a 501 C(3) charitable organization.

The program is headquartered in the City of Fort Worth Parks and Community Services Department. During the 2012 holiday season, Cowboy Santas provided toys for more than 12,500 children from more than 5,000 families.
