Twins announce details for Spring Training Caravan and Southwest Florida Youth Clinics

The Minnesota Twins today announced plans for their Spring Training Caravan and free youth clinics in Southwest Florida. The Spring Training Caravan starts Wednesday, Jan. 8, running through Friday, Jan. 10 in Fort Myers, Florida. In addition, The Twins will again host a series of free youth clinics in Southwest Florida beginning on Saturday, Jan. 11.

Running Wednesday, Jan. 8 through Friday, Jan. 10 in Fort Myers Florida, the Twins Spring Training Caravan will feature Minnesota Twins player Chris Herrmann, coach Tommy Watkins, Twins Mascot TC and former broadcaster John Gordon.

Southwest Florida Free Youth Clinics
Starting Saturday, Jan. 11, The Minnesota Twins will again host 10 free youth clinics presented by the Minnesota Twins Community Fund. The free clinics offer youth throughout Southwest Florida the opportunity to learn more about the games of baseball and softball. Twins instructors will use drills to teach the fundamentals of throwing, hitting and fielding at each clinic. The clinics are open to children ages 5-13 and younger children who are accompanied by an adult. In addition, the clinic on Saturday, Feb. 15 in Cape Coral will be hosted in conjunction with the Little League Challenger Division, enabling boys and girls with physical and mental challenges to participate in the clinic.

Spring Training Tickets On Sale Saturday, Jan. 11
Single-game tickets can be purchased beginning Saturday, Jan. 11 at www.twinsbaseball.com, by calling 1-800-33-TWINS (800-338-9467), by visiting the Hammond Stadium box office in Fort Myers or the Target Field box office in Minneapolis.
