Royals secure outright waivers on left-handed pitcher Everett Teaford

KANSAS CITY, MO (February 7, 2014) - The Kansas City Royals announced today that the club has secured outright waivers on left-handed pitcher Everett Teaford and assigned him to Triple-A Omaha. Teaford was designated for assignment on January 29.

Teaford has received an invitation to Major League Spring Training, which begins on Friday, February 14, when Royals pitchers and catchers report to Surprise, Ariz.
