MIAMI- The Miami Marlins will tee it off at the Inaugural Jack McKeon Marlins Celebrity Golf Classic on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Crandon Golf Key Biscayne. For the first time, the Marlins Celebrity Golf Classic will pay homage to former Marlins Manager and 2003 World Series Champion, Jack McKeon. Event chair and current Marlins Manager Mike Redmond will be joined by current and past players, coaches and broadcasters for a riveting day on the links, all in the name of charity.

"Jack has contributed so much to our community that we felt it was a fitting tribute to dedicate an annual charity event in his name," said Marlins President, David Samson. "Jack is a legend and this tournament is a great way to honor a man who has impacted so many lives throughout his six decades in professional baseball."

All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Miracle League of Miami-Dade County. The Miracle League of Miami-Dade provides the opportunity for children with mental and/or physical challenges to play baseball on special custom designed rubber turf fields for their protection and accommodations for wheelchairs and walkers.
