Major League Baseball announces first ever The Color Run MLB All-Star 5K presented by Nike on Sunday, July 13

MLB Partnering with The Color Run for First-Time Event at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds; Fans Can Register Online at AllStarGame.com/Run

Major League Baseball and The Color Run are joining together to host The Color Run MLB All-Star 5K presented by Nike on Sunday, July 13 at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in Falcon Heights, Minnesota.

This will be the first ever The Color Run MLB All-Star 5K presented by Nike and is sure to provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Participants of all ages will make their way through an All-Star themed course inside the Minnesota State Fairgrounds that will feature appearances by MLB legends, mascots and other special guests. The event is a five-kilometer, un-timed race in which participants are doused in different colored powder at each kilometer. Following the event, a festival including music, giveaways and contests will take place. The paint race, which is open to participants of all ages, is an entertainment experience for the whole family.

MLB will make a contribution to three charities supporting cancer research and education - Stand Up To Cancer, Prostate Cancer Foundation, and Susan G. Komen, and The Color Run will make a contribution to their charitable partner, Camp Kesem. Registrants will also have the opportunity to make a charitable donation at the completion of the registration process.

The start-line window will open at 8:30am CT with additional waves beginning every few minutes. All registered participants will receive a commemorative event T-shirt, headband, bracelet and shoulder bag. Fans who sign up by June 1 will receive a special early bird price of $45, or $40 if signing up as part of a team of four or more. Thousands of fans are expected to participate in this unique fun run and festival. Space is limited so participants of all ages are encouraged to sign up early.
