Phillies "R U Game? Talent Search" Looking for Singers with Spirit

Local Fans Invited to Register for their On-Field Audition Spot!

Calling all talented singers in the Delaware Valley: Think you have what it takes to sing the national anthem at a 2014 Phillies game? Here's your chance to prove it.

Fans, in groups of one to five, are invited to register on phillies.com to sing the national anthem a cappella for a panel of judges on-field at Citizens Bank Park at the inaugural Phillies "R U Game? Talent Search" to be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Registration opens on today, Thursday, February 20 on phillies.com. The first 500 fans who register will be guaranteed an audition spot. 

"We're excited to showcase our fans in a new way this year through the Phillies R U Game? Talent Search," said Chris Long, Phillies Director, Entertainment. "Who knows what future music super stars we have sitting in the seats of Citizens Bank Park? We're about to find out."

From the pool of contestants, the judges will select a group of 15 finalists to return for the Final Audition Round on Sunday, March 30, 2014 to sing the national anthem on-field using the ballpark sound system.

One lucky winner will receive the grand prize, the chance to sing the national anthem prior to the 7:05 p.m. Phillies vs New York Mets game on Wednesday, April 30. Four runners up will also be chosen to sing God Bless America at one of the following 2014 Phillies games: May 25, June 29, August 10 and August 24.
