Royals single-game tickets on sale March 1

Fans Have Multiple Options to Purchase Opening Day Tickets

KANSAS CITY, MO - Single-game tickets for the Kansas City Royals 2014 season, including a limited number of Opening Day tickets, will go on sale Saturday, March 1 at 10 a.m.

Single-game tickets will also be available by phone at 1-800-6ROYALS, online at www.royals.com or at the Kauffman Stadium Box Office. The 26 metro-area Hy-Vee stores, including Lawrence, Manhattan and Topeka, Kan., and St. Joseph, Mo., will also continue to offer a limited number of Opening Day tickets, as well as selling tickets for the remaining 80 home games.

Fans who choose not to use the club's convenient online, phone or Hy-Vee outlet options, and plan instead to purchase tickets at Kauffman Stadium on March 1, may begin arriving at Kauffman Stadium that morning no earlier than 8:30 a.m. and park in Lot M. Please note that overnight camping at the Truman Sports Complex will not be permitted.

The Royals will implement a random drawing procedure for purchasing tickets at Kauffman Stadium on March 1. Fans wishing to take part in the random drawing must obtain a wristband at the Gate C lobby on Thursday, February 27 (noon to 5 p.m.), Friday, February 28 (noon to 5 p.m.) or Saturday, March 1 (8:30 to 9:15 a.m.). There is no advantage to collecting a wristband early within this time frame. On March 1, any fan that does not have a wristband will be in a second line behind the fans with wristbands. The drawing to determine line order will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, and tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Fans taking part in the random drawing will be able to purchase up to four Opening Day seats, while supplies last. Please note that a wristband does not guarantee the opportunity to purchase Opening Day tickets.

On Saturday, March 1, the Kauffman Stadium Box Office will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or fans may place their orders by phone from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Beginning Sunday, March 2, phone operators will be available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.

The Royals will continue its variable pricing structure for all single-game sales in 2014, as games will be categorized as value, regular, marquee or premier games. In addition, the club will employ its dynamic pricing structure for all 81 home games. Please note that the dynamic pricing structure affects the sale of individual game tickets only and does not affect the sale of season tickets. Season Ticket Holders will continue to receive substantial savings over individual game ticket prices.

In addition to single-game tickets, season ticket packages are currently available at www.royals.com and by calling (816) 504-4040, option 2. Fans can guarantee Opening Day tickets with the purchase of a Full Season, Half Season or 21-game plan.
