This Friday, February 28 at 3 p.m., Comcast SportsNet Chicago, the Chicago White Sox flagship station, will celebrate the start of spring training by airing the 2013 World Baseball Classic first round matchup between China and Cuba, which showcased new Sox first baseman Jose Abreu.

The new White Sox slugger Abreu, who signed with the White Sox this fall, went 2-4 with a double, home run and five RBI in the game, including a grand slam in the fifth inning off China's Yu Liu. He finished the WBC hitting .360 (9-25) with three home runs and nine RBI over six games.

Friday also is the first day that individual tickets for all 2014 White Sox home games go on sale to the general public. They are available Friday online at whitesox.com and by calling 866-SOX-GAME.
