Pirates and Pittsburgh Brewing Company extend partnership

The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced a multi-year partnership with Pittsburgh Brewing Company. The beer producer will offer fans in the Pittsburgh market Pirates themed cans throughout the summer of 2014. The Pirates branded cans will feature one of three Pirates designs and will be available in 30-packs throughout the season.

The Pirates and Pittsburgh Brewing will also unveil the I.C. Light Landing at PNC Park. The newly branded area in the left field bleachers area will provide Pittsburgh Brewing with a unique designated location in the ballpark to add to the game day fan experience. The space will include I.C. Light branding, in-bowl signage and will have an I.C. Light stand to sell the new Pirates branded cans during all home games.

"Pittsburgh Brewing Company is very pleased to have had the opportunity to extend our sponsorship agreement with the Pittsburgh Pirates," said Brian Walsh, CEO of Pittsburgh Brewing Company. "The extension allows Iron City Brands the ability to make this sponsorship the corner stone of our spring and summer marketing plans and add to the PNC Park experience at the point of connection."

Pittsburgh Brewing will unveil three Pirates designed I.C. Light cans throughout the year, with the first can design released this month (March) and the remaining two released during the season. The two remaining designs will be available exclusively to Pirates fans at the I.C. Light Landing area a day before the cans go to distributors.

As part of the promotion of the cans, Pittsburgh Brewing Company will launch their "95 Days of Summer" promotion. The campaign includes a unique code in each 30-pack of Pirates branded cans allowing customers to enter to win 95 prizes over 95 days.
