Angels announce 2014 Opening Day roster

ANAHEIM, CA - Angels' General Manager Jerry Dipoto today announced the club's Opening Day roster for the 2014 campaign. The following transactions have been made to set the roster at 25 active players: 

 

The contract of INF Ian Stewart has been selected. Four (4) players have been placed on the 15-Day Disabled List, retroactive to March 21st: LHP Sean Burnett (left elbow surgery), RHP Dane DeLaRosa (right forearm inflammation), RHP Ryan Brasier (right elbow strain) and LHP Brian Moran (left elbow inflammation). Four (4) players have been optioned to triple-A Salt Lake: OF J.B. Shuck, INF Grant Green, RHP Cory Rasmus and LHP Jose Alvarez.  Additionally, OF Brennan Boesch, OF Matt Long, RHP Brandon Lyon and C Luis Martinez have been reassigned to Salt Lake. 

 

The club's current 40-man roster sits at 39 players with today's transactions.
