White Sox host Illini Night on July 18

First 1,500 Fans Receive Special Orange and Blue Sox Cap and Early Entry for Batting Practice

The Chicago White Sox and University of Illinois have partnered to host Illini Night at U.S. Cellular Field on Friday, July 18 when the White Sox host the Houston Astros (7:10 pm start).

The first 1,500 fans who purchase their tickets through the special ticket link (www.whitesox.com/illini) will receive a commemorative White Sox orange and blue baseball cap and have the opportunity to enter the stadium early to watch and catch home run balls during batting practice. The July 18 game also includes postgame fireworks at the ballpark.

"We have enjoyed a terrific marketing partnership with the White Sox as we move into our third year working with the organization," UI director of athletics Mike Thomas said. "Fighting Illini fans who also are fans of the White Sox will have some outstanding opportunities and benefits while supporting their favorite teams. We look forward to continuing this relationship for many years in the future."
