Mariners trade RHP Hector Noesi to Texas

In exchange for cash considerations or a player to be named later

Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jack Zduriencik announced today that right-handed pitcher Hector Noesi has been traded to the Texas Rangers in exchange for cash considerations or a player to be named later.

Noesi, 27, was designated for assignment on April 4th after making two appearances this season. He spent most of last season in AAA Tacoma where he went 3-3 with a 5.83 ERA (43 ER, 66.1 IP) in 15 games including 11 starts. Over the past three seasons with Seattle, he has combined to go 2-14 with a 6.13 ERA (92 ER, 135.0 IP) in 36 games including 19 starts.

Noesi was acquired by Seattle along with Jesus Montero from the New York Yankees in exchange for right-hander Michael Pineda on January 23, 2012.
