RHP Stephen Pryor returned from rehabilitation assignment, re-instated from 15-day disabled list, and optioned to AAA Tacoma

Pryor appeared in six minor league games with AA Jackson and AAA Tacoma.

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jack Zduriencik today announced the following roster move:

  • Stephen Pryor, RHP, returned from rehabilitation assignment at AAA Tacoma, re-instated from 15-day disabled list and optioned to AAA Tacoma

Pryor, 24, was placed on the 15-day disabled list on March 29, retroactive to March 21, recovering from surgery resulting from a tear in his right latissimus dorsi muscle. He did not appear in an "A" game during spring training, but did pitch in minor league games. He began his rehab assignment with four games at AA Jackson where he recorded an 0-1, 14.73 mark (3.2 IP, 5 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 3 BB, 3 SO, 2 HR). His rehab assignment was transferred to Tacoma, where he pitched in back-to-back games April 15 and April 16. In two games with Tacoma, he was 0-0 with a save and a 4.50 ERA. He allowed 2 hits and 1 earned run in 2.0 innings pitched, while walking 2 and striking out 1.
