Indians promote OF Nyjer Morgan

CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the Major League roster:

Recalled OF NYJER MORGAN (#6) from AAA Columbus

Optioned LHP NICK HAGADONE to AAA Columbus.

Morgan begins his second stint with Cleveland in 2014 after opening the year with the Indians, hitting .348 (8-23) with 3 steals, 7 walks, 4 runs scored and 4 RBI in 9 games/7 starts in centerfield (.484OB%). He was optioned to AAA Columbus on April 15 and he has appeared in 15 games for the Clippers, hitting safely in his last four games (6-19, 3 2B). Overall at Columbus he has hit .200 (12-60) with 4 runs, 4 2B, 1HR & 7RBI.
