Blue Jays recall Rasmussen

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have recalled LHP ROB RASMUSSEN after optioning RHP MARCUS STROMAN following Sunday's contest in Texas.

RASMUSSEN, 25, has appeared in 13 games for Buffalo this season, all in relief. The left-hander has posted a 2.65 ERA, striking out 19 in his 17 innings and allowing just 12 hits. Over parts of five minor league seasons, Rasmussen has a 23-33 record with a 3.90 ERA in 101 games, including 71 starts.
