Boxing legend and Houston native George Foreman to throw out ceremonial first pitch at tonight's Civil Rights game

Boxing Legend and Houston native George Foreman will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the 2014 Civil Rights Game at Minute Maid Park. The Civil Rights Game will be played tonight between the Houston Astros and the Baltimore Orioles at Minute Maid Park, airing nationally on MLB Network.

Additionally, the Hall of Fame plaques of Hank Aaron and Frank Robinson (MLB Executive Vice President of Baseball Development) will be on display at Minute Maid Park during the game. This is the first time that the bronze plaques of the two Hall of Famers have ever left the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY. Tonight, the plaques will be behind the Insperity Club from when the Minute Maid Park gates open until first pitch. They will be featured in the Diamond Club lobby from that point through the 7th inning.

Foreman, who grew up in the 5th ward of Houston and still lives in Houston today, continues to give back to the community through his George Foreman Youth & Community Center.
